Purple Smokey Eye

This is actually a pretty simple eye look to do. I applied a purple matte shadow all over the lid with a blending brush (making sure it is well blended out), dabbed on an eyeshadow primer in the center of the lid, then popped on a pressed pigment over-top the primer (so it adheres & stays). Add the liner & mascara last.

Products used: Sugarpill 'poison plum' eyeshadow applied with MAC 217 bush, Toofaced glitter glue eyeshadow primer in the center, with MAC 'damson' pressed pigment applied in the center with MAC 239 brush. Almay black liquid liner on top, and MAC feline pencil liner in the waterline.

Pin-Up Eye Makeup

A Classic winged liner and defined crease. 

Perfect for that pin-up look, just pair it with a bold red lip and you're good to go!

Products used: MAC orb eyeshadow (lid), with swiss chocolate & embark shadows in the crease. Act 5 Cosmetics black gel liner, and Aura Lashes in 'eye candy'.

Eye products used: Mac 'pink' glitter on the lid, MAC 'carbon' and Sugarpill 'poison plum' eyeshadows in the crease, and Act 5 Cosmetics black hybrid gel liner.

Lime Green & Pink Cut-Crease

Lime green and hot pink are probably my favorite colors, they look so good together, and are perfect for summer!

Steps:

1. Apply a primer and MAC 'bitter' eyeshadow all over the lid with MAC #242 brush

2. Cut the crease with a hot pink liner, and blend out with Sugarpill 'dollipop' eyeshadow with #228 brush

3. Line upper lash line with a black gel liner (my favorite is by Act 5 Cosmetics), with MAC #210 brush

4. Bring liner into the waterline with the same liner brush and smudge out with #228 brush, apply Red Cherry  WSP lashes (x2), and add mascara :)

MAC Sweet and Sour

My new obsession - MAC Sweet & Sour lipstick from the 'all about orange' collection. It is a light nude with a peach undertone, creamy texture (cremesheen), slightly shiny finish and opaque coverage. It's perfect with a smokey eye, my new favortie!

Then and Now

The top photo was taken about 5 years ago, before I started doing makeup. Aren't my eyebrows the best? (LOL)
I wanted to show this comparison to prove that practice really does make perfect. If I can get better then so can you! It's just makeup, it can be wiped off and re-done, don't be afraid to try new things and experiment with new techniques. You can't get worse you can only get better. I hope this brings encouragement.

Turquoise Eyes

I am wearing MAC Aquadisiac eyeshadow on the lid, plumage & carbon shadows in the crease, with nylon shadow in the inner corner. Act5 Cosmetics hybrid gel liner along the lash line and in the crease, Urban Decay 'perversion' 24/7 eye pencil in the waterline, with MAC #48 lashes.

Smokey Blue & Lime Green

I am using Hot Makeup Professional eyeshadows & glitter <3

Hot Makeup 'light' eye primer applied first, 'show stopper green' shadow on the lid, 'china blue' shadow in the crease, 'snow queen' glitter in the inner corner, with S55 lashes. Act5 Cosmetics hybrid gel liner along the lash line and in the crease, with Urban Decay 24/7 'perversion' eye pencil in the waterline.

Vivid Pink Liner

I mixed MAC 'magenta madness' pigment with fix+ spray to create the liquid liner, and applied it with #210 precise liner brush. MAC blacktrack fluidline in the waterline, blended out with carbon eyeshadow. Revlon 'double wink' lashes, with Anastasia Beverly Hills 'in the pink' brow & lash tint on the bottom lashes.

I am using Hot Makeup Professional liner & lashes. 'Blue bay' liner with  'luster' eye pencil and 'S54' lashes.

Splatter Paint Cut-Crease

Not much of a wearable look, but it's interesting to look at. Love splatter paint!
I am wearing Sugarpill's dollipop eyeshadow on the lid, with MAC #48 lashes. I cut the crease using a matte liquid liner, and then mixed the same liner with MAC fix+ spray, and used a brow bristle brush to spritz it on with a card blocking the pink shadow.

Cotton Candy Cut-Crease

I guess you can say I'm obsessed with bright colors.

Colors used: Sugarpill tako eyeshadow in the inner corner, blended into dollipop shadow on the lid, blended into poison plum shadow in the outer corner, darkened with MAC carbon shadow. NYX 'electric blue' pencil liner to cut the crease, blended out with Anastasia Beverly Hills 'electric blue' hypercolor.

Products used: MAC pink venus eyeshadow (center), creme de violet shadow, stay sultry (limited shadow), carbon shadow, Makeup Forever #8 glitter, MAC blacktrack fluidline (top), Anastasia Beverly Hills noir covet liner (waterline), MAC #2 lashes, and extended play mascara.

Electric Blue Cut-Crease

Using Anastasia Beverly Hills 'electric blue' hypercolor on the lid, with Anastasia noir covet liner to cut the crease, blended out with MAC carbon eyeshadow.

Smokey Eye with Reversed Liner

I created a smokey eye with "reversed liner" - which is creating a liner without actually using one. I outlined the shape of winged liner with a gel liner, surrounded with smoked out black shadows.

Products used in order: MAC blacktrack to outliner the 'liner', carbon eyeshadow on the lid & under the eye, blended out with espresso & scene shadows. Makeup Forever black pigment packed on the lid over top carbon, Toofaced glitter glue patted on the lid with Makeup Forver #11 glitter applied with a blending brush. MAC blacktrack fluidline in the waterline, and MAC #2 lashes.

Coppering Smokey Eye Pictorial

1. Apply a primer, then MAC coppering eyeshadow in the center of the lid with #239 brush (flat brush)

2. Apply twinks shadow on the inner and outter corners and blend with #217 brush (fluffy blending brush)

3. Shade in carbon shadow in the center of twinks with #228 brush (small shading brush)

4. Apply black pencil liner in the waterline, and blend out with carbon shadow using #228 brush

5. Apply blacktrack fluidline to the top lash line, pop on false lashes (red cherry #415), & add mascara!

Favorites

I have many products that I love, but these are a few that stand out.

1. La Roche Posay Hydraphase UV SPF 30: Lightweight moisturizer with intense hydration & built-in SPF (great for dehydrated or sensitive skin).

2. Toofaced shadow insurance primer: I've been using this for years, an eyeshadow primer that prevents creasing & fading, and helps for shadows to show up more vibrant.

3. MAC Studio Fix Fluid: I always end up going back to this foundation after trying many others. Great coverage, long-wearing & oil-controlling. Best for normal-oily skin types. I sometimes mix it with strobe cream to sheer it out to a medium coverage, and apply it with MAC #130 stipple brush or a Beauty Blender.

4. Beauty Blender: Foundation sponge that blends liquids & creams beautifully, and gives an airbrush-like finish. Dampen sponge and stipple on.

5. MAC Dipdown Fluidline: Dark brown gel liner, perfect for defining dark brown brows. MAC #263 is the perfect brush to apply this with.

6. MAC Harmony blush: I love this for contouring! (light to medium skintones).
